Sometimes you see funny things on my local beach.

Underwater metal detecting is one of them.

Bless.

After asking if I could take his photo, I had a bit of a chat with Len. Len is 80 and travels to Seaford from East Bentleigh on a regular basis to do a bit of fossicking.

His best find has been a $8500 diamond engagement ring which he found with this $35 metal detector (eeeexcellent ROI there Len).  Usually he would make about $35 a day from coins he finds.  Len seems pretty happy with that.

He talked about how he was born in Bonbeach, how much Seaford has changed since he was a little tacker and how he used to make money building sandcastles in competitions held around the bay by The Sun newspaper.  Apparently he also used to sell rabbits….a lovely old dude.

Onya Len.

Bonza = awesome
I challenge you to use “bonza” in a conversation today.
Today in Melbs is bonza…it’s spring time…I’m sneezing like a mofo but loving it.
Bring on the bonza-ness.

Profile of New Harvest Organics in Seaford is up on The Nepean Type today. Click on the ‘happy apple’ ;-)
Having chats with a few more ‘peninsula peeps’ tomorrow - a Mount Martha glass artist - Sarah Dingwall - and a Tyabb vintage clothing retailer - Vanessa Mangan.
Let me know what you think.  The layout of the template I’m using is bothering me a fair bit (from an alignment perspective)….is this something you can change once you have more practice with code?
