I’ve been on a 1980’s film bender. I use Quickflix and somehow I must’ve ticked the ‘I have the hots for William Hurt’ button.
So we’ve had Children of a Lesser God (which I didn’t finish…) and I then I got Broadcast News.
Now, I’m pretty sure this was required watching when I was at uni studying journalism (along with Frontline) but I think I may have been too busy in the pub to watch it.
Stellar. Stands the test of time. Great writing. Great acting. Tension.
The bit where William Hurt strokes Holly Hunter’s arm….holey moley….and then Aaron ‘burying the lead’.
LOVE IT.
